I’ve been looking into some ideas for a little customisable figure that could be sold through shapeways.

There would be a basic one like this, but then the real meat of the project would be what I’m thinking of calling “My Little Zombie”. They’d have interchangeable parts like severed limbs and guts and other zombie goodness…

Basically the idea is you’d buy all the different bits in one go, then assemble and paint as you please.

1st Birthday

Today is my Shapeways Shops 1st Birthday! Over the last year my shop has continued to surprise me to the point of being more than I thought it could be. If you’d told me a year ago that I’d be closing in on $10,000 in sales, I would have laughed. It’s really been quite baffling.

In that time I’ve sold over 600 items, I thought I’d sell..like maybe 10….

So now for this year I’ll try and have some new items up every now and then (hopefully monthly) for you to all have a look at.

Not sure if this is something I’ll be offering for sale or not, but it’s an experiment. I did this sculpt of wolverine a year ago and always wanted to get it printed.

He’s going to be 15cm high and 10cm wide.

It’ll be interesting to see if a)it’ll print and b)how the detail comes out

Updates on the U1+U2 & U3 rings

I received several requests about amending the inscription on the inside of the ring to read “Januarie” instead of “JAN” as per the game. I’m happy to report the wheels are in motion to get that available for you all.

The Uncharted 1+2 ring has had all it’s interior inscriptions updated to be accurate to the game.

I have uploaded and ordered test prints of each ring, and once I am sure they can be printed, ie once they’re in production (99% sure they’ll be fine), I’ll make them available.

At that time I will upload a 3d render of the amended inscription, with photo’s to follow when the test print arrives.I will keep you all updated in these comments. The rings will remain available in their current form until I update them.

Why the sudden update? Well I’d planned to do it a bit further down the road but once I saw the Shapeways holiday schedule I realised I was short on time to get them organised in time for Christmas.

Starting in December I’ll be endeavouring to launch new products every month. Here’s a sneak peek at what should hopefully be coming in December (or sooner if they come quick).
